    Nice!
I think you'll really like it...my brother found a nice used one with a Honda and log lift on it...the only other thing he decided to add to it was larger tires and a lift...we are all pretty tall and it needed to come up another 3-4" to be comfortable during long splitting sessions. But if you are under 6', or only split a little here n there, it'll be just fine as is.

Yeah, I think I will build a platform for it as it will be seeing a lot of use. It also means that much less I need to dig for setting the firewood bags in the ground. Plan is to put about a 100 face cords through it this summer, so want it as comfortable as possible.

I really like the looks of those. Definitely want to hear your thoughts after running a cord through it. Congratulations!

    I got a wee bit busy :D

The machine is awesome, and you can sure put some wood through it once you get used to that dual split action. Handles everything I throw at it, but have noticed it has a bit more oomph on push, so the really gnarly stuff should be split in that direction.

I'll post a video soon of putting some wood through it.

Are the hard lines really the farthest things sticking out?

The bar on the back sticks out farther than the lines I think. On the top pretty much, the hydraulic lever is a little taller.

Correct, more surface area pushing out than on return (return stroke is faster though too) all hydraulic cylinders are this way, well, except for dual ram steer cylinders, those are the same either way.
