This showed up at our neighbor’s property in VT late last weekend. Spoke to my neighbor recently and he said they were having some land cleared. He’s not sure when the work will begin.

Regardless, cool piece of equipment. I want to say this is powered by a Detroit? Hope I’m around when they fire it up! That’ll give me the answer.

There aren’t any keys in it…..and I also didn’t see a place to put keys. Our neighbors house is way up the driveway. My wife texted the wife and she had no idea it was delivered. So yes! An opportunity is there!

If I remember correctly turn the battery box on hit the starter button and go. It’s articulated it steers with a lever not a steering wheel.

That sounds about right! I took a look at the operator station and saw a lever for steering, the front blade and winch.

Just go look under it & see if there is an oil puddle, if there is then it’s a Detroit.

I shall! I already took a look at where it articulates. There’s a hearty amount of grease, oil and sludge around the u joint.

If it does "need" a key to run, a bolt or screwdriver shorted across the starter solenoid terminals will make it crank, after you ziptie the fuel solenoid to "on", if it even has one, it may be just a push/pull cable! But make it crank with the fuel on and you will be rewarded with that distinctive "raaaaawr"! :tractor:

Yup, slobbery ole pigs they are!
Locally there was a milk hauler that had an old International(?) cab-over with a 671 Detroit in it...when you heard that sound coming early in the morning, you didn't even have to look up to know who it was...

I saw a neighbor, probably 40 years ago, pull a house trailer out of another neighbors property with one. Drug it right through the ditch too because you couldn't make the turn and stay in the driveway. It was a spectacle for awhile. Lol
