She emailed and said the guy cutting the other wood was going to bring his small chipper and get rid of them.

Can I borrow your skid steer?

Fine with me. But I won't have it back until October when my father in law is done with it.

I’ve got 2, which one do you want to borrow? Enclosed cab or open?

Back today doing more work. Finished up earlier than expected so went full steam at what was left. The neighbor took some. Honestly not something I'd take as its a bit too knotty for my liking, but I have a customer wanting fresh split wood so he will get some of this. The nicer splits will be saved for smoker wood inventory. 500 had bucking duty, 462 did the noodling. IMG_7355.JPG Some staining on the end of one log so I split it to reveal this guy wire anchor bolt. Would've ruined my day as well as a chain had i hit that. IMG_7357.JPG Her friends pile. Looks like it hasn't been touched since last time. Ill ask if he is still taking it as I have more work there and will gladly bring saws with me. IMG_7361.JPG Good load. Little slow going on the hour plus ride home. Ill split it off the truck tomorrow. IMG_7359.JPG IMG_7358.JPG IMG_7360.JPG Just got an email from her and the rest of the pile is mine. :banana:Hopefully get back next week.

Need a bigger axle and sprigs back there. I did that on mine and I can carry a full cord of anything and hardly know it is there.

Split the load off the truck this morning. Not too bad in terms of gnarly splits. Lots of nuggets and chunks. IMG_7363.JPG This was the worst. IMG_7364.JPG Found the other end of the bolt. IMG_7362.JPG I might sell this load right away rather than stack it. Need room for next week's cut.

I set aside the hollows for a taxidermist friend. He uses them to add to the “scene” of his critters .

Back again today. Hour and a half working it this afternoon. 500i solo with 25 & 20' bars. Solid face cord plus for the load. IMG_7436.JPG IMG_7438.JPG
Oh, and I like my wood with no strings (or wires) attached, but in this case I made an exception. :D IMG_7437.JPG
Whats left. Knot going to be fun.:picard: IMG_7439.JPG IMG_7440.JPG
