    Came in my Black Locust piles. It’s not BL. Curvy and crooked like BL. Even has growth rings like BL. No bark left, it’s aged. Almost a very dirty light purple hue to the aged heartwood. It’s a lightweight wood much like dead ash in weight.

    Had a friend out there today. Taking care of my punky pen of Black Birch and Beech. About 5-6 cords of that stuff left. It’s next years wood.

    Black walnut. Heartwood very rot resistant. Smells like iodine when split.
