    Any sparkies here?
Have you purchased a newer clamp meter in the last few years or using a newer model?
I'm looking for a 600 amp (400 amp would be fine )AC/DC trms clamp meter capable of dc micro amps, inrush and loz as well. any recommendations?

Currently using a kaiweets 208d (with a fluke 27fm as backup)and it's ok but has limitations in certain situations. screen issues in full sun, not a fan of the selector on it etc.
It is really terrible up on a roof trying to get a reading off a compressor and can barely see the numbers let alone get a picture of the reading.
But its still a decent accurate meter especially for that price. I'd recommend to anyone looking for a cheapy for sure.

brands and models I've looked over and to give an idea are
    fluke 375fc
    Amprobe 330
Klein c810. (that screen is a great selling point for me)
If the fluke is made in China it's a hard pass as well any others though. I have a china made one, why pay more for another one?

I have Fluke, but 20+ years old so I'm sure obsolete model number, if not, probably not the same anymore anyways.

    Closing this out.
I chose a hioki clamp meter 4375. Made in Japan -not china like just about every clamp meter out there. It has bluetooth so I can record the data.
Not being able to read the screen in full sun is no longer an issue. Open app on tablet, monitor from shade and Save it as a pdf and send it with your report.

skipped the klein due to many complaints with durability, fluke is china made, amprobe is taiwan but lacked features and also had complaints about durability.
Best I could tell, fluke only has 1 meter assembled in the states now and that is the 87v. Which is quite sad.
After much homework I feel I will be as safe using this meter as I would using a fluke so the how much is your health worth argument is irrelevant.
Now that kaiweets I was using.... Definitely playing the odds but when I bought it originally, it was just for around the house.
