    40 this morning. Another day without a fire happening here!

    I managed to get the chimneys cleaned yesterday and then installed the covers. Stove and furnace connector pipes and will be cleaned soon. Sigh.........

    House is still reasonably warm from yesterday's morning fire so the LP is on duty for the morning chill. Looks like 5 hot days for us next week.......80's for highs

    Another freezing night. Bad with all the blossoms and even some beans have been planted near us. They don't take freeze.

    I hope this is our last freeze this year. It seems most years we have a cold spell around apple blossom time.

    I think I'm done burning here. no fire for about 3 weeks. I did run the Natural Gas furnace a couple mornings. It is 83 outside here right now.

    Decided to start a fire for overnight. 48/73 going down to 38 with frost warning. Pretty sure it will be our last till fall.

    Those little black gnats that swarm you are out in full force here. Usually at least two solid weeks worth. After them, the mosquitos will show up.
