Was happy when the splitter fired up on the third pull after sitting for a year.

I’ve been fighting a bit of sciatica on my left side so wanted to see how it would react. Splitting while seated in the chair seems to be fine.

Kind of warm out today but got a few pieces split to go right to the wood shed for next Winter warmth.

So far a mix of Maple and Alder.

I finally purchased a cover for the splitter so it can handle some Spring rain.

Looks like you have plenty of work a head of you. Good luck, hope the chair idea keeps working for you.

I sit while splitting as well, easier on the back.

Good to hear it fired up after sitting. Do you put stabilizer in the fuel?

I run non ethanol in it and add stabilizer for the last run of the year. I also shut the fuel off and let it run dry before storage.

I sit while splitting, use non ethanol 89, and shut off fuel after every use. My splitter doesn’t go unused for longer than 2-3 weeks usually in August. The carb, coil and gas tank have been replaced once. I have to tighten nuts on the replacement gas tank every couple of weeks and I believe the I beam will have to replaced, or welded before the engine.
Firm believer in Non E gas. Zero carb issues since making the switch.
