28 at the moment. We're currently in the morning temperature dive. Caved in and made a fire yesterday morning instead of using the LP furnace. Going to be another fire this morning.

Yesterday, I noticed a few of those black gnats swarming around me. Seems kind of early for them, no?

I am letting the LP do my chore this morning..........so far. I think that may change as soon as 99 lbs gets vertical.

32 out this morning so a small fire was in order. Sun is now doing its job of keeping the house warm.

No fire here for ten days, so I'm anticipating that we're most likely done burning. I took the indoor firewood rack outside to stow it until fall. It's been a long 6+ months of running the wood stove. Time for gardening and other warm weather activities.

48/69 this morning. I just started the last fire of the season. I used the last of my shoulder wood. Storms coming tomorrow, especially in the evening. Hope the weather guessers are wrong.

47 now. Ran fires in the indoor wood stove past two days after shutting down OWB for the season last week.

When we lived up in the Sierra mountains @4000' the saying was the last snow would be on the Dogwood blossoms. Our old neighbors told us it happened yesterday. They got a dusting overnight. We are down in the foothills now and expect to be in the 50's. We will be back in the 70's this week so I didn't bring any wood down to the house.

33/71 lumber cutoffs. I'm thinking about bringing in a few pieces of good stuff.
