Upper Baffle

    I have a BIS Ultima wood stove and the upper baffle has some breaks in it , Is there someone in here that can buy a replacement/ referral to some one that can buy parts from . Thanks in advance guys and gals

    Is it thin or thick? If it's a thick one (like 1" or so) you can "glue" a cracked one back together using furnace cement...I've had pretty good luck with that.
    If it's beyond repair you can just look online for "ceramic fiber board" and cut your own (often you can buy enough to make 2 for the price of one premade replacement)

    I ended up getting the factory upper baffle because there is a overlap joint to seal up.

    Sad I had someone come out to clean the stove , they didn't even take apart to clean it , the lower refractory was all busted up he said it was fine, I pulled all apart to clean and out/ replace upper baffle. If you want it done right you have to do it your self :headbang:

    Absolutely true. I just finished spring cleaning my Clydesdale and I spent just at two hours start to finish.

    The local guys (who are CSIA certified and actually relatively competent) do the same job in 30 minutes. It's not because they're faster.
