Tied up this Elk hair caddis tonight. First real attempts at dry fly style tying.

 

Thanks brother the rod building class was a blast. Can't wait to catch the first fish on it. The kayak i way more than I imagined! Going to be a fun year!

 

Water was high and fast on the river today. That a the 10-20 mph gusts made the fishing a little rough. Did manage to catch a couple Smallies and then i got a big one. Buddy of mine caught three trout including a nice Brown.

Took the Kayak out this past Monday to Donegal lake about 45 minutes east of me. Had a great day. Caught so many Largemouth! Had one crazy bluegill try and eat a bait 10x bigger than his mouth. Caught a few nice size ones too.

 

That was a good day

 

Took my daughter Sarah up to Donegal lake yesterday. She just came home from College so it was nice to spend some time with her. She hasn't fished much with how busy she has been. I have a feeling that's about to change. She had just about the best day ever. She caught 22 fish with the biggest two being 3.63 and 5.0 pounds. I caught a few too.
