I was doing some cutting with my 192t the other day and I had a few minutes today to top off the bar oil and gas. I caught myself adding bar oil to the gas tank:whistle::doh: I added a little bit of gas, swished it around and dumped it out. I repeated the cleaning procedure before putting the gas and bar oil in the proper place. I ran the saw and no damage done. First time I have ever done that:zip:. It is real easy to do a dumb thing.

Cant say I've ever done that before as I always top off the gas and cap it before doing bar oil. Been doing it like that since day one. The thing I AM guilty of is forgetting to put the cap back on either (usually the bar oil) when I'm in a hurry and end up getting it on my pants! :emb: :hair:

I guess there's a first time for everything in life!

New Year’s Day our gun club has a turkey trapshoot. Guess who showed up with no gun? We remembered the grub for the potluck lunch at least. I knew someone would have an extra scattergun. Turns out I won twice with a loaner but the guy wouldn’t sell me it. Now I’m looking for a 390 beretta.

I've put mixed gas in the oil reservoir before and also forgot to put the caps back on a time or 2. And while we are at it, I've forgotten to tighten the bar nuts at least once.

I walked out of Walmart(self checkout) yesterday without paying. Halfway to my truck my brain re engaged and I realized I didn’t pay. I proceeded to my truck, unloaded, turned around and saw the Walmart swat team chasing me down.

I did that once (almost). Scanned my grocery's and bagged, walked out and the Walmart greeter asked to see my receipt...I said I must have left it at the machine. Went back and realized that I never paid!!

A real senior moment is not catching the mistake in time to save the saw. you just your mind on something else. and after the close call it will never happen again.

My littel Echo top handles are backwards as far as gas/oil reservoirs. I normally gas before I oil and have put gas in the oil tank several times over the years. I usually catch myself when I open the 'oil tank' and see a fuel filter. :headbang: Then I call myself everything but a white man and try again.

Thanks guys and gals:handshake:Good to hear I am not alone in doing "not smart" things. It was a good lesson in paying attention to what I am doing.

I was taught to always add the oil first then gas. If you add the gas first and get in a hurry and forget to add oil, you can ruin a bar. Other way around, the saw won't start or only runs a short time and quits, no harm done! I have also added the gas, forgot the top, and dumped gas all over the side of my leg as I pick up the saw. Fun stuff! :) I have yet to put oil in the gas tank or vice versa but I know it's coming!
