Got busy and cut up 2.5 loads of cherry and a load of red oak today.

And if anyone is wondering, the green Toyota is fine. It is getting its annual state inspection. Fingers crossed it passes. It had a couple lighting problems in the last month that I fixed and I put new brake pads on the front, so it should but who knows.

Nice load. I went through similar hoping and praying with my dodge. When I bought it it hadn't lived anywhere with emissions testing in 24 years. Had to get it tested in my county to register it o_O

Luckily, it passed. Next year it'll be in the 25 year and older category so no more emissions for that old beast

    Oak or cherry?

The cherry smells so good it will be a pleasure to get some smoke out of the stove when it is ready to burn.

Oak and cherry are two of my favorite woods to split because of the smell

I always have a fair amount of the cherry mixed through the stacks. I really like getting a whisp of the smoke smell out the chimney on a cold brisk day in winter.

Those are some massive rounds of cherry. Are they old line trees?

Out in a rocky part of a field with some other trees. This wasn't the whole tree, it had a Y and so this was one side. the rest of the tree is still standing. I have no idea on the diameter of the trunk at the base.
