Another FBM find. Less than ten minutes from home. Big ole yard tree. Not like my usual primo scores, but and easy back up, cut and load. Wasn't expecting to get as much as I did. Half cord or very close to it. I left the two gnarly trunk sections.

It was gnarlier than pictured...forked into multiple trunks. Being a yard tree i was worried about metal too. Most of this will go towards general cordage. Not too much in the way of bundle wood.
Only took an hour and a half which is fast for me. I guess someone had been there before me. Looked like your run of the mill scrounger based on one crooked cut and the smalls gone. Never met the guy, just told me to show up and cut. Thanked him via a PM and said he has more trees coming down.
They never get that big here. I been looking for some dead standers to get for my buddy's mom. She likes it because it burns well for her. Her fires are mostly for enjoyment. The dead standers like elm are great for those who find themselves firewood poor during winter.
