Working through a load from yesterday. Kinda looking forward to some warm weather!

 

29/66 (natural gas furnace) Lit a fire in the insert to stop the furnace from running. Going to 56 today so with solar gain I will let the fire go out around Noon.

 

25 right now.

The day has lots of sunshine so far but will be getting overcast around noon.

Then, this evening.....yeah, you guessed it; more snow! 3" means there'll be some shoveling but I think the plowing just may protest this round of snow removal-we'll see.

 

32*/73* spruce we have been seeing the mid to upper 40's. Snow will not stick around long, sun is getting some bite.

 

50* rain off and on. Colder temps coming tues/ wed. Stove has been cold for several days

 

27f this morning so have a fire going for now, 58 for the high. Been having a fire here and there for the past week or so. Looks like they may continue this week but will have to see.

 

53/68. Just started a fire to kill the damp chill. Off and on rain today. Burning chestnut oak.

 

It was a beautiful day here today. We worked outside in t shirts. We moved some dead trees, pushed over one of three walnuts that we don’t want there, cleaned out under the rabbit pens, did some patching on the chicken coop, and rousted a nest of baby rats. I don’t like hurting baby animals, but rats are not allowed, so they got fed to the pigs. Not normally my style, but I figured why waste a bit of nutrition.

A nice day and plenty done to show for it.

 

20 and snowing. Already hit the day's high of 24.

Looks like 5" so far.

Yeah, spring is right around the corner..............laughing!

37 and raining again/still. More aspen chugging away in the stove.

 

31/66. Loading up the Lopi with some oak and hickory. 10 day forecast suggests maybe one of two more fires for the season.

High of 35 here. Fire every day.

 

43* dreary, light rain. Came home from work and started a fire before I took my coat off. Odds and ends, chunks, uglies, t&g pine cutoffs.
