Grieving the loss of one of my elderly wood customers who passed away this morning. His widow texted me and still wants wood for fires in his memory. They burn daily and he passed peacefully at home. Been selling them wood for several years now. He was 90ish and a very pleasant old gent. Always with a smile and had a good joke to tell. I will miss him.
Had to put our cat (Grumbles) down today...He was a senior cat, but he only found us around a year or so ago! Vet said he was 18 or 19. He was a good boy...
Sorry for your loss. Ive had to put a few mine down over the years. They are my sidekicks. Our current cat "Taters" is 15 and showing his age. Sleeping next to me as i type.
Condolences on the loss of your kitty. Thank you for taking in a senior cat like that - a lot of people won't because they know their time together will be short.
Sorry you won't see his smiling face anymore. Amazing how one can become attached to certain customers and miss them once they are gone.
I used this authors books and companion workbooks twice in times of grief. If anyone is interested. Home - Center for Loss & Life Transition
One of my customers takes in older cats. I enjoy working at her place as she seems to have a new cat all the time.
Not exactly grieving but had some big shocks. Old friend of mine/my dads, his 13yr old son passed away. No idea what happened. He just retired from county police, unfortunately I couldn't go to the viewing or funeral, as I just got over this china flu not about to be near hundreds of people. Another friend from the past is in the hospital on a ventilator, he has pneumonia or something, one day he was fine the next he's not. Nuts319 was nearly killed in a logging accident. I know I'm forgetting some other's.
Been just over 4 years… still feels like yesterday. Miss you dad, wish you had made a different choice.
Grieving the loss of FHCer Buttermilk. I will have fond memories of a fellow "Brad" who also drove a white Ford PU and was very passionate about firewooding! RIP friend!
Sort of. Id be rather than Been there done that many a time! Did the stack sink or from uneven drying BC Doug Fir?
It was on a slight side hill I’ve got it a quarter fixed now. Going to lean it in more at the top and shore it with a couple three posts. I had to swear in Ukrainian and French cause I ran out in English.
