4 here just a little while ago.

More snow on the way but only 4-5 inches. I doubt I'll plow for that amount.

Did you see the ice on the big bridge? I would not have been crossing during this storm.

I would have thought that the bridge would be closed during falling ice periods. Joke's on me.....

No fire last couple days. Could have used one last night but Im trying to squeek out with this burn season alloted inventory. I just hate pulling from next season stack. I would be ok if I didnt give a pickup bed of splits.
Hitting mid to upper 70s today

Temp rose overnight. Was 60 at 4:00 am and now 52. Supposed to be chilly for at least the next week.

After a week of moderate temps and no fires we have had three nights that it dipped into the 30's so today was the third day with fires again. House is certainly more pleasant with the Wif snuggled in her cushy chair near the stove while she reads or we chat about days events. Last wood goes in about 1:30 in the afternoon and the warmth coasts until next AM. I only have about 6.5 full cords (two seasons of burning worth) of 3 year seasoned wood stored. 2 cords of 6 months seasoned wood processed and stacked. I need at least 2 cords more fresh wood to be back on the 3 year plan and a little extra. I sure hate to be behind!
