Finally got all my rounds css. Did the final measurements and I’m sitting at around sixteen cord. Typically I burn around five cord a year. So it’s pretty nice to finally be on the three year plan after the burning season. I already have my sights set on a pile pushed up at the end of a field. It’s real close to the house, but is across a ditch. Looks like mostly Walnut. IMG_2475.jpeg IMG_2475.jpeg IMG_2473.jpeg IMG_2472.jpeg That last stack needs cleaned up. The girls have used it as climbing and jumping pile. Probably tear the fencing around it out and build something else. It’s set up in a circle and is a pain to stack in.

That’s a beautiful sight. Good feeling, too, Im sure! It sure is nice to look at your stacks and remember the work that went into them and the warmth they will provide.

A stash like that can really make you feel you're all set for what ever nature brings.

We are among those who can get a great satisfying feeling by just standing and staring at our woodpiles.

I frequently do this but I also take pictures so I can stare at them from my recliner.

Step by step. Most of us didn't get there in a single season.

I’d rather stare at my woodpiles than a tv. So much better content.

We don't have a TV. Got rid of it over 20 years ago.

Nice work. I burn about the same amount as you in a year. Unfortunately I have emptiness in my stacks. Im still on 3 year plan, but barely. I need to get on it!!
