I used to watch it but have lost interest with all the rule changes. I liked it better when a car still had five lugnuts and not one. I do put it on as background noise but as far as sitting down and watching; not so much anymore. Drag Racing , now that is another story. The NHRAtv live stream is awesome. It is not free but being involved in the sport makes it worth it for myself. When there is a national event there is 4 days of live streaming from morning until night and so much you do not see on a regular TV broadcast.
Gotta check out that NHRAtv. Honestly Nascar, NHRA and MLB all perform as background filler for our place. Still enjoy all of it a bit.
Watch occasionally. Usually if weather is bad and can’t be out doors doing something productive. Since this is now a pay as you go programming they lost me
Motorsports of almost any kind is the usual background noise here. Being an engine builder by trade and a drag racer it just falls into place. Back in late 80's early 90's NASCAR was a big deal for a bunch of us , we were running stock cars at our local track tearing stuff up almost every weekend so it meant a little more when we all thought we were going to be the next Earnhardt. Oh , and the Daytona 500 parties we had every year were nothing to sneeze at, still probably tire marks in the driveway somewhere from when the party was over. Talk about a bunch of northeast rednecks.
I stoped watching after the last time they changed the cars Say probably about a year after Jeff Gordon became an announcer
I've never been into NASCAR. I watch motorcycle races ( motoGP, motoamerica , WSBK) if I want to watch road racing.
I honestly don't even understand the races now. Stages? Brackets? Mandatory yellows? Bleh. 80% of the comments below nascar videos I watch are negative in regards to the modern era. There are no drivers left that used to use NOS and lead shot. Who do we have as a leader/hero? Kyle Busch. lol It just got too big for it's britches. It was started by a bunch of drunk liquor runners wanting to see who's car was fastest. Once nascar decided it was too good to be sponsored by a tobacco company it just kindof started to suck. Winners of the Winston Cup will always be above whatever they are now when they win in my book. Completely different racing.
Xfinity '25 Martinsville. Fail. Another shining example of the complete failure of Nascar race management. Boot these crashing losers off the track. Fine them. Take away their accumulated points. The current batch of simulater bois running these cars are beyond embarrassing. Punks. Watching a completely unregulated demo derby can be done at the local county fair. Come on Nascar. Rant over.
Gave it about one season with emergence of Car of Tomorrow. You can tell when bad management is in place. And that concept was bad management
