More expansion work at our plant.

That is a big lift...JLG 1250AJP...125' height. I've used that model at a previous job...when you start pulling on 3' long wrenches with all your might 150' off the ground (we had the machine parked on an embankment) and the basket starts swaying back n forth 2-3', it takes a lil gettin used to! They sure make life easier/safer for those ironworkers though!
That's not a cheap one to rent either...part of the reason is pickup/delivery costs more due to the machine weighing 44k (that's a lil more than the average truck can legally haul) so the driver said they either have to get the overweight permit, or take their chances and go "the long way around" which takes them around the area where the DOT guys like to hang out.
IIRC it was a "wide load" too, even with the axles fully retracted.

Several years ago, I looked into renting a 100' lift for a tree job in our yard...
About $1200/day...
Decided right quick to let the guy who quoted us about $700 to do it...

They have started putting in the ground anchors...

 

Another reason for the calciner rebuild...on the top 3 decks, more moisture is present, burners start on deck #4.
The arms get holes in them...under the insulation wrap...

I didn't get a chance to go outside much Thursday, but I was able to watch them start cutting the shell into sections on one of the camera screens...

I was on my 7 days off last week, they have really gotten a lot done...

It was still in good shape, so it's been cleaned out and sand blasted

Awesome!! Thanks T.Jeff Veal , I really miss working in large plants. The two New York blowers in series is not something that you see every day.

 

We also use that setup on another calciner system we run.
