Do you have much in Georgia? Maybe you just need a touch of the mania to go huntin :)

No I let the lift do all the work. Smaller rounds like this I may not lower it all the way to the ground. Saves me an extra bend down move to leave it a little higher. Plus it’s easier to stack multiple small ones on if it’s slightly raised.
I’m using one of these timber claws again. Used them years ago then stopped using them with the other splitter that used a tong lift, didn’t need them anymore. With this regular lift they work very well again. Big monsters I’ll roll on tho.

We found enough for 2 totes, much more prevalent in the north GA mountains

Brought a few more logs out Feb 23rd. Cut em up and then the big thaw came, mud season.

A quick refreeze of the mud and I got back at it. A little more in the pen.

Warm out but the mud was dry enough to get a few more logs out. And I bought a new 550xp. Used, one year old, $450. A little pricey but it’s in showroom condition, or was. Had to get it dirty. Went out late afternoon to put the splitter in the barn before the big rains. Last minute I drove to the processing area and finished splitting the last pile. No phone with me, no pics of the pen

Had some rain of almost biblical proportions last night. Mud season is back. Took a walk, remembered my phone. It’ll be awhile before I get back in there again.

Yeah good rain here too. River load in the ravine below. 2-3" in the wheelbarrow. Yard not too bad. Assembling some bundles later.
