    Off today...:dex:...so the plan is to load equipment and go retrieve some more oak victims of Helene, one of the places we worked before. Probably split more tonight.

    Morning all. Grey overcast day which might clear up or not. We caught between two systems so it is anyone's guess as to what we are going to get.

    Chores today. Got most of my cooking done yesterday. My knees don't like all that standing at the kitchen counter. I just might be able to nip down and spend some time in the sewing room this afternoon.

    The oral surgeon went ahead and pulled the tooth. Glad to have it gone. Should not impact my winter camping trip. :banana:


    Material packed in where the tooth was for a bone graft. Unless there's an issue, I'm done with the dental profession for a few weeks.

    Good morning, ya'll. Hope ya'll have a SUPER SATURDAY. Up to 54° now, heading to upper 70's. Ya'll can keep that cold wind up there...lol...plum trees are beginning to bloom.
    Not sure of the plans, need to do a bit of saw maintenance, then probably split wood while Miz Carol finishes cleaning the church. Going out with friends for their birthday dinner tonight.
    The tree rescue went well yesterday, got a load of white and red oak...
    Sawdust Man would have liked these logs...

    Morning all. Overcast with the blue sky on the horizon so I don't know if it will clear off later today. It is pretty warm here for this time of year.

    MikeInMa glad to hear you had a good night's sleep. I hope the healing happens quick.

    T.Jeff Veal those were quite the loads of logs. Way more than we could handle now.

    1 One Sabbath, when Jesus went to eat in the house of a prominent Pharisee, he was being carefully watched. 2 There in front of him was a man suffering from abnormal swelling of his body. 3 Jesus asked the Pharisees and experts in the law, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath or not?” 4 But they remained silent. So taking hold of the man, he healed him and sent him on his way.

    5 Then he asked them, “If one of you has a donkey or an ox that falls into a well on the Sabbath day, will you not immediately pull it out?” 6 And they had nothing to say. Luke 14: 1 - 6

    Our God is a compassionate loving God whose character of mercy and justice Jesus came to reveal to us. The Pharisees had gotten so caught up in rules and traditions that they had left mercy and compassion out of their lives. So too us as we get so busy with our lives that our focus shifts from Jesus to all the trials and tribulations of the world around us. As the hymn says "Take it to the Lord in Prayer". He is always there to listen and answer.

    Winter returned. 15⁰/33⁰ breezy.

    About 3pm yesterday it was sunny and 55⁰. An hour later it was 35⁰ and snowing sideways. Quite a change to observe.

    I have my camping gear all up from basement storage. I'll review the contents of each tub and duffel bag. There'll be batteries to replace, and others to recharge. Planning for meals is well underway.
