21 and maybe 74 it was super windy yesterday around 50 mph, got home from work and got the fire lit. Wind lifted a tarp off one of my wood stack that had a 4 foot long 4x4 on top of it plus a couple chunks of firewood. Furnace ran a little bit probably between 4 and 7 am but hasn't ran since around that time. Fireplace insert is heating the first floor almost too nicely but my wife is still fully dressed so .. LOL. Burning Ash and Boxelder

-13 this morning. Forecasters only missed it by 12 degrees.......:smoke:

We knew last evening that it was going to be a cold overnight and the forecast was wrong.

Warming up to low 30's today. Then, a couple of days in the 40's. Wed supposed to get some more snow but they're all over the place with the amounts. Anywhere from 1" to 18". Take your pick I guess!!!!!

This is my only experience with rocket stoves. Brian Kopp built it and brought it to one of our GTG's. I did very well.

    15° feels like 9° out. 71° in.
Box elder and fir in the quadrafire.

There's no wind outside. Quite different than Friday when we had 50 mph gusts and 25 mph sustained winds. Yesterday was pretty cold, in the mid 20's but definitely less windy.
