Kindling Making Session

    I cut up some Cedar trimmings from the neighbor’s portable mill to replenish the kindling supply.
    Filling the cradle and sawing to length into the cart seems to work well.

    The Chainsaw Buddy on the saw bar keeps the strips from riding up the chain.

    It does work great for this application.

    I’ve used it before when I had a lot of branches to cut but most of the stuff I cut anymore doesn’t have a lot of branches.
    I do have a gnarly Alder in the yard that will likely come down at some point and then it will get some use.
