Nice to look at, but too cold for me!

 

We're expecting a rainstorm tomorrow. Northwest part of the island may see snow instead.

I'm 27 and I routinely say more than half those phrases

 

Even with the warmth of the last couple of days, my roof hasn't completely dumped yet, and today will be the 3rd day of beating the ice off the driveway (Sunday and Monday - yesterday I didn't have time). I'm pretty sure that I will still have a nice berm of ice under where the roof dumps onto the driveway, but hopefully the rest will come off. I have gotten most of the ice off the front porch and I think I should be able to get it clean this afternoon. Most of the paths that I keep snow blown, still aren't to bare ground - weirdly it is the path around the northern side of the house that is clear (probably because it gets the most direct wind). Still a couple of feet of snow cover throughout the yard. And of course, where I blow the snow, or where the roof dumps, the mounds are taller and denser.

Unlike yesterday, that had heavy, dark, gloomy clouds all day, it is supposed to be partly sunny today. Then another storm lat tonight into tomorrow with around 4" of snow expected. Then Friday we start the cold weather again with lows in the single digits.

Typical February thaw all the way around.

 

Caffeine! Got in bed at 9 last night exhausted. Probably sleeping by 9:30. Woke up at 3:30. Wide awake. (Wifey snoring like a bored out, souped up large Stihl chainsaw!) Snuck out of the room and down stairs. Time for some quiet internet surfing and then to the basement about 5 for a quiet workout.

Very nice! What the heck happened to the peak of the mountain? Must be an ancient volcano that blasted it's top off?
