That is a big lift...JLG 1250AJP...125' height. I've used that model at a previous job...when you start pulling on 3' long wrenches with all your might 150' off the ground (we had the machine parked on an embankment) and the basket starts swaying back n forth 2-3', it takes a lil gettin used to! They sure make life easier/safer for those ironworkers though!
That's not a cheap one to rent either...part of the reason is pickup/delivery costs more due to the machine weighing 44k (that's a lil more than the average truck can legally haul) so the driver said they either have to get the overweight permit, or take their chances and go "the long way around" which takes them around the area where the DOT guys like to hang out.
IIRC it was a "wide load" too, even with the axles fully retracted.
You got some good pics!

    Thank, brother :handshake:...
Several years ago, I looked into renting a 100' lift for a tree job in our yard...
    About $1200/day...:eek::eek:
Decided right quick to let the guy who quoted us about $700 to do it...:picard:

Another reason for the calciner rebuild...on the top 3 decks, more moisture is present, burners start on deck #4.

I didn't get a chance to go outside much Thursday, but I was able to watch them start cutting the shell into sections on one of the camera screens...

Got it loose and the crane is holding it 1000016982.jpg

Awesome!! Thanks T.Jeff Veal , I really miss working in large plants. The two New York blowers in series is not something that you see every day.

We also use that setup on another calciner system we run.

The hearths are being built now.
    The form is built... 20250326_173417.jpg
And the bricks are laid. Floor is on an angle and becomes self supporting.
This is called a in- hearth, product is moved from edge towards center, where it drops through big opening to next floor down. That is one arm, laying on the floor.each deck has 4 arms, with rakes that move product in direction it needs to go. 20250326_173556.jpg
Forms have been moved, starting on the out-hearth next... 20250327_113755.jpg
The out-hearth has these openings around the outside edge of the floor, product falls to next floor below. 20250327_113812.jpg
I'll get more pictures when I go back to work

Good view of how it's made to keep product from dropping to next floor around center shaft. 1000018386.jpg
