Very southwest corner. Must've been a lake effect band that got us cause 15 miles west on the lakefront they got 1/2" and 10 miles northeast they got about 5". Edit: bird feeder roofs were cleared off the day before.
8. Just put some Pine in because I will be around to keep tending to it. I hope to get a it good amount of it burned up during the next few days I’m off.
-17/66 wasn’t expecting it to be this cold this morning! Didn’t have many coals left this morning after 10 hours, had to use some kindling.
6* and dead calm. Actually doesn't feel that bad outside. The boiler had a lot of wood left in it for a single digit night. I topped it off pretty good with ash since I won't be home until really late tonight...shoud be enough until tomorrow AM.
-16 here. Once the skies cleared, both of us knew right then that the forecasters would not be correct in their guess of overnight temps. Missed it by 12 degrees. I guess you could say the forecast was a.....
Sorry to hear that its a hard thing to do. When Ive had to do it I try to find solace knowing that I gave the dog a great life since mine have always been rescues.
The last chilly morning before fool’s spring starts. Burning mulberry limb wood and white oak cookies.
I had 4 outside when I got up. Today is a running around kind of day, errands and such so therefor the Pellet stove has the call of duty today.
15/71 in the living room 8 feet or so away from the insert. Burning a mix of Ash and Boxelder. It's going up to 36 here today and it will feel like spring as it was -17 last week. 53 degree change (warm up) will be welcome. My only regret is we have not had enough snow this winter. My wife likes to take a hike on snow shoes. Unless we drive up north to our family hunting land there is no need for snow shoes this year. I think I ran the snowblower twice so far. Of course it is not over yet, March can dump on us and even early April can bring snow.
22° at 11:30 am today. 71° inside. Ash in the quadrafire Looks like we're past the super cold temps now.
