I was told BL bark stinks when burned. I tossed a piece on the firepit years back and its true. Its compost and/or mud cover in the woodyard.

All I know about BL bark, is that it stinks when burned.

The state of the woodyard is - icy

A concrete walkway to the screenhouse and beyond.

All ice covered. Any snow left behind became slush with heavy rains. Slush froze.

I'll be needing to wear these for a while when I head in that direction.

Not pleasant and the same here. Watch you step Mike. Doesn't take much on a hill.

Oh yeah. I posted the wrong link above. I have Stabilizers that stretch over boots. They work well. Same idea as creepers, just different.

Time to give the woodyard a bit of TLC.

It was time to move empty racks around to rake away leaves and other collected debris.

I still have a bit of supporting/leveling to do, but have 5 8' racks all cleaned out.

There's 2 on the left, 3 on the right. You can see 2 with the 3rd at the end, around the corner.

    Looking back
    IMG_20250417_095226.jpg

I have lots of various concrete blocks for leveling.

Getting ready for 5/1. That's when I'll have a couple of dead ash trees dropped.

Looking good Mike. Gotta make room for that ash that will be filling them up.

Well organized woodyard, Mike. Your racks are easy to move and clean around, I like that.
    Well done, my friend

There was no master plan. It has expanded/reorganized over the years. There's no tweaks that I'd like to make to it, currently.

Sounds like mine too. May rebuild my BL racks next Winter/Spring.
