Storm that was forecast here is a no storm. It is supposed to be cold next week with some below zero temps.
14/68 burning Ash in the insert. Heading outside to snow blow soon. a couple inches last night. Forecast is calling for a cold week ahead.
We just got a foot thurs-fri with -25, was like sugar, no fun. Now we have 40cm coming followed by a big warmup to around -1 to 0C, ole man winter is throwing down. How we looking this morning, calm before the storm. Cherry in the stove but letting it die as the house gets really warm with the sun during the day.
27°/69°. Paper birch and ash in the quadrafire. We got some more snow like they said we would last night. Probably a couple more inches to add to the 6 or so from the other day. Just checked radar and more is incoming very soon. Probably a few more inches. We're not going anywhere, I'll wait until it's all done snowing today and then snowblow the driveway.
Good Morning to all! It was zero outside, but not to worry, it has warmed up quite a bit, now it is 4*. At this point I am burning everything, pretty much every tree species known to man in the northeast. I'm going to start dropping trees next week while it's still cold and before the sap starts running and makes the wood heavy.
Had some sprinkles yesterday, but luckily it stayed warm enough to not freeze. Today started out 28 degrees and currently sitting at 18 and dropping. Half inch of snow this morning so started out with the leaf blower but went back out with the 2-cycle snowblower for make a path out back and finish the last of the driveways. Brought in 4 loads of wood including locust, silver maple, hackberry and maybe a couple of others. Should get us through the upcoming cold week.
We had a nice snowfall of about 4-5 inches of snow yesterday and overnight. It flurried a little bit this morning and I got out to do some snow blowing after lunch today. Nice when the Ariens fires up.
I fired up my ariens snowblower again today. Last year I think I used it once, this year it's been a couple of times and back to back I've had to use the snow blower. All this snow will be gone soon enough. 24°/77° Birch and ash in the quadrafire
7 now with falling temps throughout the day. Got some more snow overnight. This amount is around a foot of stuff since yesterday morning.
Forecast is for cold coming. If they miss this as bad as they did for the storm we might be able to go swimming this week.
Was 36° yesterday and 27° currently. I put a full load in about midnight, last night, and it's still 72°+ in here. Probably going to wait till it hits 70° or so before i make this morning's fire.
