Drab day ahead. 23⁰/32⁰ overcast. Snow/ice rolls through tonight.

Mom's birthday went well!

My brother came down from Maine to join us. he stayed overnight. He, I, and a friend will head out to lunch this morning.

Good morning, ya'll. Hope ya'll have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY. 40°/54°, feels like 36°. Rainy day, enough to be miserable outside, but gotta do what needs to be done. We have to deliver a load of 14" splits to town, run some errands, finish stacking some white oak splits and maybe cut more rounds. If rain gets harder, got several chains to grind and saw maintenance needs doing...
This is the day GOD has made, I will rejoice and be glad.

Oh after rereading my post, I see it was confusing. We visited campinspecter's brother in a long term home and the next day I went over to visit Mom in her own home. She is doing well and still living at home by herself.

 

Morning all. Another clear, cold and sunny day with some wind this morning.
Staying home today with bookkeeping this morning and then housecleaning. I might be able to get in the sewing room this afternoon.

I just cleared about 7 inches of dry powder snow off the drive and weather dude said we get 1 more before it’s done

Good morning, ya'll. Hope ya'll have a TREMENDOUS THURSDAY. 55°\64°, thunderstorm about 5AM this morning, still raining. Off today, so probably go grind some chains and clean saws until rain stops, then split some white oak rounds.
Got a surprise birthday dinner planned for Miz Carol tonight with several friends. Her birthday is tomorrow and I have to work 7AM-7PM shift.

Morning all. Clear, cold and sunny out this morning. Watched the full moon set before breakfast. Last night coming home from prayer meeting, we almost needed sunglasses against the moon glare. it was quite beautiful.
Cooking and cleaning today. Trying to get as much done today so we can deliver stuff to the church before the roads turn icy with rain/sleet/ice tomorrow. Roads have been frozen for the last couple of weeks so rain is going to make a mess.

I'll be moving wood to the deck. There's a long duration weather event arriving here Saturday after sunset. Starts as snow(3-6in) then extended freezing rain all day Sunday.

Working 7AM-7PM shift this weekend, so we had Miz Carol a surprise early birthday dinner last night with some of our closest friends...
She wore the hat for the birthday song and cake...
Her birthday is today, she might go out with a couple of the kids while I'm working
