You get a new phone or something?
Seems like the autocorrect has been butchering your posts lately...

So one of the drivers I deal with just finished going back to driving school for his semi license, after having a tandem axle license for years.

He shows up in a single axle, hydraulic brake truck. I'm like, you just got your semi license, now you're driving a truck you can drive with just a car license?

    A while back, yeah.

" Sunny" is Don't. My phone always wants to put "sunny" in for don't.

I think I was trying to say that my crew can work from home and if they come into work in the AM, when it starts dumping snow, I'll send them home to work from home the rest of the day.

I usually try to spell check/ proof read, even after sending, but that's what happens when you post from work and get busy. Lol

As long as they are getting the higher pay from the semi license, they probably don't care what they are driving.

Probably so, but I could help but laugh.

We had another driver who had a tandem license, but because he refused to do any city routes, they paid him as though he only had a regular license with air brake endorsement. He eventually found a better job, dump trucking I believe.

I also know a driver who has a semi license, but won't tell his employer he has it because he doesn't want to do the type of runs he'd be asked to do. He's giving up a slight raise by doing so, but he's OK with that.

I had planned to go to school for my semi license myself this winter, but I couldn't come up with enough :makeitrain".

And though I probably could by next year, I'm guessing I'll end up buying a new personal truck and have to recover from that first. One step at a time I guess.

Thank you. I enjoyed the day by getting some things done around the house, and relaxing. Wife, son, and I had a quiet supper, then wife and I went for a walk. A relaxing day. They plan a Birthday celebration for me on Saturday night when they can all be here.

Nothing so far, but all these schools have cancelled classes and are closed already as of last night.

I'm actually looking forward to having fully snow covered roads to try my new tires on the truck out on. There's been a couple of small tests, but nothing like they predict today so far this winter. We're down close to 2 feet less than average snow fall for the year.

Standing up metal studs at the new Presbyterian Hospital addition in Pittsburgh. Kinda mad at that groundhog for saying 6 more weeks of winter.

I fully agree with you on that one. NOAA does consistently accurate and very individual forecasts.

Well, most of the time they are at least close. A whole lot closer than inaccurate weather. They used to be good but have gone the stupid way of mainstream media. Blow it up to make it sound interesting or scare some folks.

Also the National weather has made some terrible changes so now they think everyone has to be warned even when less than 1/2" of snow is expected. The best we can do is watch the radar, which is not always accurate (for instance we are now supposed to be getting snow now but are not) and make our own assumptions.

It's still snowing. No idea how much so far. Not a ton, but I'll find out when it stops and I go out to snowblow tonight.

NH is also at about a 2' deficit for this season so far. We have a system this morning (not much expected), one over the weekend (more potential), and another for next Tuesday or so. We just got into an active weather pattern a couple of weeks ago. We haven't gotten a big storm yet though. If it is like the last couple of years, we'll get a 30" storm some time in March.
