    The loggers started dad's woods last week. All oak. About 50 trees. Mostly white, black and chestnut oak. Only 4 red oak. Leaving all the tops and taking only saw logs. I used almost a gallon of fuel on the first white oak top. Logger says usually about 2 cords per top with trees this size.

    Not quite sure but it's more of an optical illusion from cutting the flare off the base.

    Probably in the 50-75 foot range. The faller said they were some of the bigger trees he has cut in our area.
