Supposed to warm up a bit overnight. It took a while to get the house warmed up today. Mostly oak in the cook stove. Still stoopid cold outside and 73 inside.
7 tonight. I brought in large, long pieces of Ash earlier today. Because it’s going to 1 overnight. Just loaded it up. Going to bed early.
When the temp is getting down to 6°F in northern AZ last night I know you guys are in for a mess. Stay warm tonight people!
Dunmyer mowing llc do the cement blocks enhance heat, like the German tile ovens? loaded the boiler a bit ago, it is -2 and dropping Into the twenties tomorrow so i will be out playing in the wood stack and tree tops wife was to fly to Myrtle Beach today but weather cancelled it. Trying again in the morning.
Just reloaded, it hasn't been active for an hour or 2 The door is still open stove top was just over 100 The blocks retain heat and release it slowly. During peak burn these reach over 300 at times, least the bottom layer can.
Actually, update since I just redid the setup earlier today I didn't realize how hot the rear layer of these blocks can get. This is during peak burn while right before I dampen her down
Cold, super windy with gusts. House is mid 70's, have on my normal flannel shirt house jacket but changed back and forth all day long with long sustatined gusts that suck heat out of the house. Giant blob snow drifts formed over the 1.5-2 days so WWW's using my truck, not worth digging tall drift so he can get his truck out just be drifted in again the next morning. Hoping for spring to some sooner than later.
Still cold here, just not quite as cold. I am VERY excited to work in the shop this week with temps in the double digits above zero.
25°, burning NG/LP mix...cooking dirt at over 1800°...work last night... My hunny has WO, BL, Hedge chunks to feed stove. It's been quite a few years, but we finally got snow yesterday...
Currently 19 degrees heading to above freezing for a change. Cooler tomorrow but then a warm up starts.
