    Then I went after the standing trunks of trees that the storm took out canopies from. 20241113_124812.jpg 20241113_124829.jpg 20241113_124901.jpg 20241113_124912.jpg 20241113_131940.jpg 20241113_131947.jpg 20241113_131956.jpg 20241113_132000.jpg 20241113_132211.jpg 20241113_133653.jpg

And this plus more. The one big oak is buried in that nest of "stuff". Grape vines all over in there too. That's it for this update. More skidding to do now. 20241113_115650.jpg 20241113_115708.jpg 20241113_120045.jpg 20241113_120043.jpg 20241113_115703.jpg 20241113_115720.jpg 20241113_115957.jpg 20241113_120027.jpg

Oof. I hope the leaner looking one is not tangled up in other trees too badly. Those can be time consuming.

Looks like you've got wood for a while. And pretty much all yalls leaves are gone already! (Except for some oaks...)

That's the one(s) I was thinking might be a tangled mess. Not a fan of lots of pressure points. Especially the ones that are hard to judge or unload here and now load over there. Hoping it goes well though.

Weve had upper 20's and frost a month ago or longer. They really started dropping. Then, a couple weeks ago we had 3 days of winds gusting as high as 50. That took care of most of them. The oaks....new leaves have to push them off in the spring sometimes. :headbang:

I can say Ive pinched a bar more since this storm than the rest of my past saw usage put together. Some of messes are unreadable as far as where you think you can cut. I definitely take it slow and try to keep an eye on everything constantly. I'll, most likely, try to cut and drag that big oak out and off all the smaller trees its mixed in with. Reliving as much pressure as I can.

This is still from the storm back in June. There are roughly 18-20 more trees that have to come down and out of the woods.

From the storm damaged trees. All split with a 5 ton electric splitter powered by my 2200 watt generac.
