White Pine, Ash, Box Alder. A few warmer days on the way with rain. Should get rid of most of the snow and then freeze the ground up. Maybe.

Zero* here at the moment, we have been around zero or below for the last three or so days. Burning Oak and/or Cherry depending on the pieces I grab. 61* inside, but that is slowly rising.

36/70. Burning mostly apple, cherry and red oak now. The next 4-5 days here are supposed to be mild (in the 40's) so I'll keep the fire low and slow. If I don't watch it the house can get up to 76 and the Commander will complain. :)

57/40. Straight hedge in the boiler. Got three totes loaded and under cover before the light rain we got this morning. May have to go dig some shoulder wood out for these warms temps we are having now. Cold stuff in the extended forecast though.

It got above freezing for a couple hours. I went for a snowblower ride. I saw that my neighbour hung out some laundry on the line and the wind was right so I loaded up the valley comfort with primo fir and hoped for the best. Just my luck and the wind shifted….. there’ll be other chances.

Josh did you say you’re burning straight hedge? Aren’t your temps too warm for that?

Yes, it’s pretty warm for hedge but the boiler just cycles less often. If I had more shoulder wood I might switch, but I’m really saving it for the spring.

Got up into the low 40's today and now it is raining. Looks to rain steady overnight with about an inch expected. 40's through Monday before cooling down again.

Been foggy here the past few days, seems like weeks. Good news it keeps the temps from dropping to far below freezing but the bad news is foggy, crappy with no sun. Talking sun this weekend, we will see, and rain turning to snow Monday night.

Well it's back to warm, relatively, again.

43° out 78 Dennis degrees inside. It's gotten to 82° inside, burning ash right now.

All of our snow has melted.

38/73 CO. Just 3 splits on the fire for the night. Keep waking up hot around 5-6a. :dennis: Been raining this evening and not supposed to stop till Monday. Looks like I’ll get to grind some chains.

22/72 Black Locust. The temperature rose overnight and things are supposed to be warm and wet for a few days. Yesterday I got some uglies and chunks staged to use during the approaching heat wave.

Warmer temps for the next few days.

I brought some low quality red oak to the house yesterday. It's partially rotted. It was standing dead until it blew over. I cut to length and anything that would split, I stacked. It's ok. It burns. I view it a shoulder wood.

Still solid oak splits for overnight.

Brought in more wood yesterday since rain was in the forecast.

Have to work on wife's car today . Oil leak from somewhere.
Not sure where, but something tells me it ain't going to be fun.
