While on a camping trip in northern Minnesota this fall, I found this axe at an abandon campsite on National Forest Land. Head is a Norlund which were made in Lewistown PA, not far from where I live. Someone obviously spent a lot of time making the handle, pretty, but not very practical. I have it displayed on my living room wall.

Very cool find! I'm not very far from Lewistown myself (just north of Altoona).

I’m an hour and a half south of Lewistown.

I’ll bet that guy wonders where in the world he lost it.

There was also one of those frame splitter/kindling things there, but in bad shape. The campsite wasn't trashed or anything, just those 2 items laying there.
    It was pretty strange actually.
