There are sooooo many people that sell wood locally, it isn't really worth it, so I bag up my extra uglies/odds n ends to sell for fire pit wood...also will sell some legit firewood, but usually wait until February to advertise my DRY wood, which everybody else is out of...don't like my price, see ya! :salute:

Ive done that too. I need to have a reserve on hand as most of my regulars like the half cord at a time delivery. If we have a colder Winter then I more than likely wont have enough dry.

Ive adopted the see ya type attitude. Too many tire kickers and knuckleheads on FBM.

I had a guy drove an hour for a crate (~1/4 cord) of nice dry uglies/odds n ends, for $40 a few years back during a late season cold snap, then he had the gall to biotch about it not being "firewood" (pretty, uniform splits I'm guessing) when the ad clearly pictured, and stated exactly what it was...he did take it then, but without a discount, because, well, honeybadgers just don't give a F

I have a listing up for a half cord of nuggets/shorts and have learned to ask the buyer if they fully understand what they are getting. I have two regulars for nuggets but generate a lot more than their needs. My BL nuggets guy wanted full length splits as he couldn't stacked them even though he took the 16" splits and cut then in half. He turned into a ghost this year when I texted and called. I have a cord of BL nuggets and one normal nugget regular said he would take a half cord for the next load.
Maybe a couple cords of "regular" nuggets to sell yet this Winter.

Repeat customer from a couple Fridays ago. His furnace is broken so he’s completely reliant on his insert. He liked the last load I brought him (especially the black locust) so he requested another one. This load is half ash, half locust, with about 4-5 pieces of elm thrown in just because they happened to be in the same stack.
