Good morning everyone. Yesterday was sunny and warm but obligations kept me out of the trees. Now cooler and raining now . I had a neighbor girl scheduled to help me with splitting and moving yesterday, but she begged of for Finals study.

Next week is break so we will see. In the interim I will cut as many rounds as I can. Pulled some logs out of the treetop mess.

deciding at the moment whether to go to the country restaurant when it opens at six, or cook at home.

Shop work this morning, then pouring concrete, and a trip to the town.

The boys got three walls up on the house project yesterday morning, then we went and set forms and smashed rocks for the slab on the storage shed build.

T.Jeff Veal yes 2x6 walls for summer insulation needs... and 2x6s were the same price as 2x4s so it made even more sense.

Morning all. Dark outside but I don't think it is windy. Off to Mom's today to deliver stuff.
I survived the carpet cleaning. It looks so much nicer even though it is 30+ years old. Only did the living room as I can't do whole house cleaning anymore. Just makes all the rest look pretty grubby. Another day I will tackle the others.

For the longest of time, years and years, whenever someone would refer to me as "Mr Rockwood" I would tell them that my dad was still around, and to please call me Mike.

Well, from this time forward, it's ok to call me Mr Rockwood.

God peacefully called him home, with my wife and I at his side. RIP, dad.

Good morning, ya'll. Hope ya'll have a TREMENDOUS THURSDAY. 54°\64° clear. Last night of work, finally...been a long 11 nights, off at 6:30 AM, for a day. Going to take Christmas presents to SIL about an hour or so from home, then about 2 hrs north to pick up golf cart seat and 2 hrs home...road trip...
Get a nap and go out with friends for Christmas dinner...

After a very emotional day, we have some family decisions to make this morning. Mom is such a strong woman. I wish I got those genes.

Thank you all for the kind words and thoughts. They are helpful.

After that I'd like to go out for a late breakfast that Dad would order - eggs over easy, bacon, and home fries.

This afternoon is wide open. No plans. That's fine by me.

Morning all. Dark, very windy and wet out there. We have a storm sitting over us.
Yesterday was calm, clear and sunny so a nice day to visit Mom.
Lots to do today so I will see how far I get on the projects. I still don't have my Christmas tree up inside or any inside decorating. Outside lights are nice to come home to in the dark.
