Only near a heat source.... ... Thanks... Thats really only way I work... Mistakes happen in haste... I actually stopped production to reaccess the risk vs. reward... With us being wet and cold and kinda of tired from the day before... but I ended up getting a few more down before calling it quits... It was a nice picture looking around in the bucket though....
Chvymn99 Do you do pool cleaning as well ??? Nice work, glad that all is going well & that your brain bucket did it’s job. Hope you have another productive & successful day today.
Picture perfect stump there. Is hackberry a stringy wood normally? Kinda on my bucket list to score some.
Chvymn99 I heard an old saying today, the date of the first measurable snow is how many snows you can expect over the winter. Sounds like a winter wonderland all season for you.
Yea, that’s an old saying. I’ve heard that when I was knee high to a grasshopper…. I’m surprised with all the old timers and farmers you hadn’t heard that before, now…. All pretty much unpacked and put into garage… now to rest and count my blessings…slightly sore from using muscle that hadn’t been used like that for a while…
I don't live in the Arctic, but I run saws and cut down to single digits. I just wear thin up gloves and my hands stay warm while cutting without heated handles. I swore I'd want/ need and even change brand loyalty due heated grips and it just isn't a necessity. I funny have heated handles on my snowblower either, and aside from a couple of extremely cold -10 to -20 temperatures when I had to snowblow I have never needed them. Now on snowmobiles, yeah, give me all the heat. Heck my next sled might even have a heated seat. Great work Chvymn99 ! That helmet was a great buy. Saving you a lot more than what it cost.
Lol. T.Jeff Veal doesn't sweat when it's humid and mid 70's, so he won't sweat at 18°. Now he might be frozen, but not sweating at least.
I'd probably like to watch you from a safe distance...like beside our wood stove...I have cut when it's down in the 20's before. Glad you have gotten some much done safely, especially with the weather. Your helmet sure saved a bad headache. Glad that hackberry didn't barber chair with that much fiber pull. Nice work. I know what you mean about sore muscles, every time we get that bucket truck.
So since this thread turned into make fun of the freezing Georgia guy thread. I spoke to my youngest today, she is in Athens, GA. She told me it was freezing down there, I said really what’s your temp, she said it was in the 40’s. Then she proceed to tell that her boyfriend has been plugging his pickup in because it has been getting into the 30’s at night. I had to tell her there were other issues than temps in the 30’s if didn’t want to start in the mornings. ..
Well done brother, I'm glad to see you had your PPE on. Those little glitches can kill a man. Did you get to keep all the wood?
