    Bump.
    Was just over on Reddit /woostoving and someone mentioned using kindling for starting fires.
    Reminded me I probably need to make a batch of firestarters.
    I like the little bath-size Dixie paper cups the best. I need to find a cheap source or bulk pack.

    Best way I've found is the bottom of a paper egg carton, fill with sawdust and pour melted candle wax over. Once hard it breaks easy into 12 individual starters.

    I use the top of the carton for filler, rip up the little pieces and lay them into the cavities, dryer lint stuffed in as well.
    But These days I just grab the propane torch.
