No need to top the splitter off I barely ran since last top off. Plus its only about a facecord. Less than two hours. Well 4 hours later when the splitter ran out of fuel this is what was left. View attachment 436481 and the facecord is pretty close to a full cord. About 40 minutes of the four hours was running the saw. For one late 50 something guy and a box store splitter I feel pretty good about that rate. View attachment 436479
I'm living by the mantra: 'Only the unused tool becomes rusty.' Hope I'm doing as well as you in ten years. No plans to ever stop making wood.
I like it but its a thristy beast. Today I used the 250. The wood was soft and the logs that needed cut were smaller
I got to run a 500 at a gtg this year. It was a nice saw. I think scott had warmed it over a bit. They’re supposed to start on the first pull, ya know…..
When we get older we look for easier ways of doing things. The gentleman that helped Dave at my splitter at our small GTG is 86 years old and I think he kept up
I've got one question regarding the 86 year old gentleman...........was he sitting or standing while helping???
