Had my first burn this past damp, cold, and windy Friday evening. Boy did it feel good taking the chill out of the house...........Back to milder. I had a bunch of uglies that did the job just perfect!
I was unimpressed when I burned KCT. Probably annoyed a few customers with it too. 2 year dry time didn’t seem to be enough in my area.
33 here this evening. Looks like a low of 31 tonight. Pine today. A mix of Ash and Pine going in for the overnight.
Didn't burn last night or all day. Just lit up as the temps gonna drop hard. House is 64 Ash Bradford pear, black walnut , maple
Yeah. It takes a long time in my area too. This was split fall 2019. Dry now. Last year was around 20% mc. I couldnt believe it took that long.
16/66 Wind kicked up last evening about 8. and then, well.......it got a bit colder overnight than what we were told. Built a fire around 4:30.
I should have added that the wind chill temp is "0". Winter coats for this mornings dog walk for sure!!!
47*day/38*night. Having a fire every morning and into the afternoon. 3 year old Doug Fir and a bit of bark keeping the house toasty while it rains outside!
