Thats awesome. When my kids were young I gave them the choice between skiing or snowboarding. They chose snowboarding even though Im a two planker. They've had fun with it over the years.
-6c/21f with about 6-8 inches of light fluffy snow overnight and still snowing. Lodgepole pine in the stove.

Windy with light snow and heavy winds. Just played outside bringing some hickory I split four years ago to mix with some recent splits. The boiler is smoking and burning hot.

Now back indoors to enjoy the fruit of labor. Looks like a heavy front is coming from the middle north US. winter has arrived later this year, but here it be….

First freeze for us tonight. Berserk wind last night as the front rolled in. Good night for king white oak.

Not really cold here in Middle TN, but like keeping the house shorts and T-shirt warm. Burning shag bark hickory; amazing firewood IMO.

-7c/19f and the stove is loaded with larch and a few pieces of 3 year aged birch. Heres a pic of larch from my yard stack I took a few hours ago. It takes a bit of time to crib your ends but its worth it in the end!

40/70 oak currently warming us up after some much needed rain. Drizzle outside now, looks like clearing for the weekend.
Good by me, hope to go cut a couple loads of ash this weekend.
    Have a good day gang.

Light snow here. Put 2 chunks of BL on this AM to boost the temp before the days load of oak.
