Would you say they are worth the price? I have 6 of this brand chain and have not used any yet. Did you sharpen any? If so were the chains hard or soft comparable to other chains?

It will allow me to get all my saws running full chisel non safety chain without breaking the bank. I need to order some other lengths before long. A 3 pack of each DL count I need will last me years. Im set on bars. More than I need lol.

I say they are definitely worth the money. I touched that chain up on my grinder. It "feels" harder than oregon chain but how much feel you get with a grinder from one chain to another I don't know.

It took the accidental dirt plunge cuts pretty well. Lol

Been a while since I bought a chainsaw. Took a bit of a gamble as the piston is scored. Hoping the cylinder will clean up.

I've collected them over the years when good deals would come along. It's time for me to stop collecting stuff.

Be interested to hear how they hold an edge and how they hand file. I got a couple loops of the Sugi branded chains to try out sometime. How it will take a Pferd file is a major consideration for me regarding saw chains and why I have mostly stayed with Oregon. I like the way it files (thinner chrome and on the softer side I'm told).

The best I can do for you is put fresh stihl files in my 2 in 1 sharpener, sans raker file and give you my best opinion on hardness vs oregon. I have oregon here as well but its semi chisel vs full on the dukes.

Don't go out of your way. My chain box is plenty full at the moment. Always with an eye to the future though.

I’ve got an old Remington I’ll sell you since you’re buying boat anchors. It’s way heavier, so you won’t drift.

-although, if the cyl doesn’t clean up, I may just throw it in the lake.

Or me, if you seriously decide to abandon the project, you will not have trouble getting rid of it. Although I can’t imagine why you wouldn’t follow through with making it run again.
