Its a beater. I really would not feel comfortable selling it. Screws stripped all over and rattelling out maybe needs seals etc. I dont think i will sell it.

It still screams. It runs just like it should its just ROUGH! And has stripped out screw on the recoil and chain brake. I mean it cuts like a 70cc should, its just the carb does not tune like I want. So I am suspect. But the condition of the saw doesnt really warrent too much money to be put into it.

    :)

They are pretty desirable (or at least to some). Production stopped and popularity increased

Try refreshing? I don't post from another account (Photobucket, Picasa, Etc). It's straight from my phone, so it should be visible by all.

The 440 is a nice saw. Lighter than a 460, but comparable power!

I'm interested if anyone is close enough to snag it. Might be willing to trade another stihl for it.

According to the map, I drive by there 4x a week on I75, though in a big truck. Twice it's at 0330, but I'll be by there about 1030 Saturday morning. And I live about 45 minutes away.

If you're willing to check it out I'll give you some gas money on top of the saw price.

That's about 2 hours from me...

I thought about it... But I already work an hour the opposite way. So 3 hrs one way, then 2 hrs back home..??. :(

I drive by there every Wednesday and Saturday morning, usually between 10 and 11, sometimes a little earlier. If there is someplace close I could park a truck, or if the seller is willing to meet me, there are a bunch of truck stops about fifteen minutes away. And Dex, I finish my route in Alliance, and usually head thru Canton and Akron to get to the turnpike, on Saturdays anyway. I take the back roads on Wednesday to avoid traffic.

The only glitch at the moment is that I don't have enough cash on me [IMG]
