My 194T doesn't get used a lot but very pleased with it overall. Had a screaming deal on a 201T not shown up it would get used more. My vote goes for the 194 lukem
First I've heard of the 212. Looks like a redesign of the 211. Any news on what's in the works for pro level saws Lehman
I have a 192 rear handle power head that needs a rebuild if your interested. I had bought it a couple years back with the intent of doing such, but it sits collecting dust. Very clean otherwise. PM if you are interested.
Yes it would but just a muffler mod and a little timing advance is enough for a 194t to keep up with a stock 201 which should be more than enough for 3-7” trees. The 2511 does wake up with muffler work but requires a full port job to make it really gain.
Not a lot of information on the new pro saws coming, the new 400.1 and 363 are supposedly set for release spring 2025. Both are being used and tested limited basis now. They are both identical saws from what I can tell the ms363 is non mtronic and the 400.1 is mtronic both 63ish cc this 400.1 will replace the 362 and current 400. Same power 10 oz lighter and complete redesign than current 400, seems like all the new stihls are coming with white writing on the orange labels and an orange stihl logo on the clutch cover which started with the ms881. I’m sure more are in the works but who knows for when and if any will be injected or not. Stihl just came out with a new cut off saw that’s 102cc and has injection on it but took probably 15 years to make a second injection concrete saw. The ts 500i came our way before the ms500i and I think this was due to wanting to test the basic system and program in a smaller group under harsher conditions to see how it would do before coming to a chainsaw. After seeing this new 363/400 it almost looks like the husky and Stihl engineers have been going for drinks after work
363 pictures screen shotted off short film and from what I can tell the 400.1 is the same. Back to aluminum alloy piston also.
Interesting. I don't like the white lettering and the clutch cover makes it look like an 881. Should I start hoarding MS400's now? Chud was telling me about the new version. Thanks for the "insider" info!
That’s the new style, pretty sure the 881 was the start of this new lineup top to bottom. All the little Ones have orange Stihl and white numbers on rewind along with the same basic outline
I’m thinking the 400c will become a collector item. Limited run, mag piston and 66cc. From the videos I’ve seen the 400.1 is supposed to be lighter. Best power to weight ratio in the 60cc class, but wouldn’t take much to get lighter and more powerful than Husqvarna MK 1 2 3 grenades.
Guess we’ll see what happens but I’m leaning that direction also with the all new lightweight rotating assembly that makes it spool up like the old one vs a mag piston.
Well, I'm still undecided here. The 194 is basically a top handle saw with a rear handle. Is there a disadvantage to this over buying a "proper" rear handle saw? Making something smaller using involves a trade-off for something else. Opinions on Echo CS-361 or CS-3510?
