A week ago my buddy texts and says his wife’s uncle needs some blow downs in his shelter belt cleaned up and there should be some firewood to cut. He says he will have us dump trailer and skid loader there. Well can’t get much easier than that. So I meet him out there and there’s a some blow downs and about a dozen standing dead ash! We got 3 loads out so far and 2 loads left. Sure can’t beat good help and good equipment. There’s probably 15-20 more Ash that are leafed out that we can’t cut yet (should be dead by spring!) 2 of the loads dumped in my Back yard
Good stuff there. Easier is gooder in my book. Havent score much in recent times although I spied a barkless dead ash that I may take soon.
Another dump trailer load of easy ash this morning. 4 loads so far and one more to go. Split most of it on site, have to stack this load yet .
Nice! It will be great burning some ash in a few seasons. Can’t imagine we’ll be getting that anytime soon, unfortunately. Hoard on!!
I wouldn’t say all. Majority of what I see is too far gone to mess with. Dad will be burning some this season, after that, I don’t see any in our future. Enjoy what you have.
