Another warm spell here, but burning will start again tomorrow morning. I have the stove staged up with red maple and ash in the meantime, just waiting for ignition.

Man been a really really mild start to the burn season this year here in Central Indiana, probably around 10 burns so far this year.
Will burn for a few nights this week, but 24/7 burning looks to be a while off still.
Tonight will be cherry, ash pine, walnut.
    Checked a few mousture% sitting between 10 and 15%

46/75. Burned a firebox full of chestnut oak last night. Bit too warm inside for me. Gonna have to adjust the blower thermostat till it gets real cold outside. :dennis:

Yes it has. I think this is the furthest into November I've ever made it without heat.

I finally turned on the heat for the first time this morning. I've been running the boiler for hot water for a while now, but decided I better make sure the heating system is working before it gets too cold. Replaced the batteries in the thermostats and everything works perfect.

Yup! Also have to remember to pick things up off the ground otherwise I may not see them until Spring! Ive "lost" a few things around the smoker during the winter.

32/75 cherry. Wondering if this 32* outside temp will be enough to make the rest of the leaves come down. We have 2 big mulberry trees that hold onto their leaves until the cold makes them drop.

    41. Mystery wood in the boiler. I think it's some walnut, box elder, mulberry, and hackberry. I really don't remember cutting it or where it came from.

Only going down to 40 tonight I'm debating on a fire but leaning towards a yes.
