Nice find. Go get that wood! Found something similar on FBM recently but the wood was 2-3 years old and half hour away. Not really for me.
Yeah, it should be ready by fall of 25, ill check with the moisture meter to be sure. I've read that cottonwood dries pretty quick....
Good to know! I'll mix it in with other "harder" hardwoods, I'm sure it'll be worth the effort. Seriously high moisture content when fresh!
Yes very wet. I remember cutting some in May and six months later it was ready. The stack was in back and didn't get sun. Having access to other primo hardwoods I don't take it that often. The old saying on FHC is it burns better than snowballs.
