Deer Season 2024/2025

Big homie is a biggun!!! Hopefully he slips up for ya

 

Been slow and warm. Gonna be warm until friday. Hopefully colder weather will kick the rut in.
Right now I only have Mr. Forkie around. Every year there will be a 4 pt that shows up and hangs out under my stand, almost everytime Im out.

 

Guy I used to work with. About 2 miles straight west of me.

 

Someone brought one of those small southern deers and dropped it off here.

Meet Bridgette, my midget deer.



Been watching her? all summer. On left, normal sized fawn. Mother in rear. This tiny fawn was orphaned I think while still on the teat. (late drop) This doe and her fawn took her in it seems to me. She's always with them now, where early summer I saw her by herself many times. Anyways, Bridgette will be getting elevated/protected status among the herd from me.

 

I saw Bridget the midget at kittens in Newberryport MA. Lol!

 

Friend of mine. Its a Maryland deer.

 

That’s a dandy for sure. Put it right in the boiler room too!

 

Got a decent buck opening day, evening! Just an eight, but alot of meat.

Now for a doe or two, and wait for a trophy.

 

Y'all been doing well for bucks!

Hopefully I can follow.

I need venison this year.

 

In the pot to boil, to clean it up for European mounting.

He was 20 yards around noon. Looking for his big brother.

 

Dang that looks thick. Are you throwing a grenade at them?

 

Lol...there's actually 4 good shooting lanes from that stand.

 

You can send those "non-trophy" types my way anytime.

Yea, but there just isn't as much of it.

 

The corn fed does around here are darn near as big as the bucks.
