I was doing a rough tally of all of my firewood, and it looks like I am at or near 60 cord! (Not counting the 2 semi loads of mill logs). It’s not all split yet, but at least it’s home. The parking/turn around area is pretty much gone and there is a 50 ft row of full logs along the driveway that is taller than I am. PLUS a pile of odds and ends that I piled off to the side. I still have more to go get, maybe 5 cord. I am starting to realize why I’m so tired this year.
I will get some if the weather is decent. They are calling for rain for a few days. I told my wife a few years ago that I wanted to have 100 cord on hand, but I never expected to do it so fast.
60 sounds like a good number! I’d like to have that much c/s/s’d. Just a wild guess would put me at around 10, and the townsfolk already think I have a LOT of wood
I'm sitting at 29-30 totes (275 & 330 gallon) in the backyard plus a cord unsplit there. On top of that should have 4 totes of split (2017) locust sitting out at Bunny's place. I overfill the totes so make your own guesses on what I have in stock.
60 cord?!? You're my hording hero! I see you are from Wisconsin so maybe you burn a bit more than we do here in Kentucky. For me, at a burn rate of 3 cord a year, a stash your size would last me 20+years. Hmmm... That would make me at least 92 years old. I hope to be able to burn wood at 92 but it ain't likely!
